SUMMARY

  • Introductory course: 17 April 2012
  • Intermediate course: 15 May 2012

OCT imaging has significantly improved the differential diagnosis and management of the majority of macular pathologies. This SCOPE event is presented in a case report format that covers key diagnostic features of the OCT, pathophysiology, management and treatment of a range of macular conditions that are encountered in private practise.

The introductory session will have an in depth focus on OCT interpretation in diagnosis. The intermediate session will also focus on pathophysiology and a higher level analysis of the conditions. Some information will be repeated in the intermediate SCOPE session, we advise that you only enrol in one course.

You should consider booking into the intermediate course if you:

  • Are comfortable interpreting macular OCT images and view them regularly (at least once a week)
  • Have a reasonable understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the retina

This two hour CPD event is comprised of presentations and case studies.  At the end of this session, attendees will:

  • Be able to better interpret OCT images of macular pathology
  • Have improved diagnostic and management capabilities for a wide range of macular pathologies
  • Better understand the cause and pathophysiology of a wide range of macular pathologies
  • Gain a better understanding of how CFEH can assist you and your patients.
